Swan Song

So it's almost over. I would be lying if I said I wasn't sad, I would also be lying if I said I wanted to still be here. Kid Prison is awful, the only things you had to look forward to were cool people, and art. The school system is super awful, why can't I say curse words, why can't I have a picture of a scene from The Shining on the wall, why can't I play Tom Petty really loud? Oh because it "disturbs the learning environment" shut the Hell up guy. Everything you ever need to know can be easily found on the internet. I have to go to school because it's "the law" and have to deal teachers that went to college for 4 years just so they could boss students around. The worst part of school was waking up every morning just so I could learn crap that I'm never going to use in a real life situation None of that stuff maters anymore. 14 years of life wasted away because of "education". Let it be known that there were only 7 teachers I ever liked in high school.

Okay so that's off my chest. Well dummies, I have to live the rest of my life worrying about taxes and my credit score. You kids have to worry about some test you gotta study for that teaches you nothing about life skills.

Firebender

Avatar was a stupid show. It was anime made by fat American peoples, for all of the weebz who couldn't stop watching Dragonball Z. People, bending fire out of their hands? That's just stupid. Air bending? Just use a fan, or one of those air bazooka things. All three of the pictures I posted, are a million times cooler than Avatard the last gaybender

Top 6

Howdy kiddies, this is primarily an art blog I do for my commercial design class, but since I'm graduating in a few days, I wanted to have a fun post for once, instead of all this art nonsense. For today's topic, with the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals coming up soon I'm doing the top 6 Stanley Cup Finals moments. Why six? Well shut up and stop asking questions and read the dang list

TOP 6 STANLEY CUP FINALS MOMENTS

6. SUPER MARIO

Mario Lemieux was a once and a lifetime generational talent in the NHL. People put his name up there with all the great hockey players, but this goal he scored against the late Minnesota North Stars in the Stanley Cup Final, might just be his most famous one. It was 1992, and Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins were up against the ultimate fairy tale Cinderella team, the Minnesota North Stars. The Pens were down a goal, but Mario Lemieux would not be taking that crap, so he pulled of on the most beautiful goals in NHL history. Lemieux used his natural skill to split two North Stars D-men, get a mini-breakaway, crashed into North Stars goaltender Jon Casey, and he was still able to score the GTG. Unreal man.

5. LIDSTROM SHOOTS...

The year was 2009, and for the first time since the 1983 and 84 Stanley Cup Finals, it was a rematch of the two teams that made the Finals the previous year. The Pittsburgh Penguins made it to the Final for the second straight year, and were a young group of a players, with some veterans sprinkled in for good luck, led by 21-year-old Sidney Crosby. The Pens were up against the Detroit Red Wings, the reining Stanley Cup champions, led by veteran captain and 4-time cup champion Nicklas Lidstrom. Detroit defeated Pittsburgh last season, but the Pens would not have any of that this year. The Pens had experience, and they had learned their lessons from last year. The Pens came back from 0-2, and 2-3 in the series to force a winner take all game seven in Detroit. The Pens got a 2-0 lead in the game thanks to Max Talbot, and carried the lead into the third period. Detroit would end up getting the game to within one goal in the third however, and the game would go all the way to the wire, as Detroit would have a late game offensive zone draw with the goalie pulled. After a Red Wings face-off win, Henrik Zetterburg would fire a shot on net, and the rebound would come straight to Nicklas Lidstrom. Lidstrom took a shot at Penguins' net minder Marc-Andre Fleury. Everyone thought that was a sure goal, but the hockey gods would say no! Fleury made a crazy diving save in the dying seconds of the game. With Fleury's save, and the clock at zero, the Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup.

4. A CUP FOR BOURQUE

Some of you may be wondering why I put this so high on my list. Well, first of all I'm not a fan of the Boston Bruins, and second of all I hate the Avalanche, but whatever this is still on here. Raymond Bourque may just go down in history as the greatest defenseman of all time. The man was great at not only defense, but offense as well. Poor Ray Bourque had wasted nearly almost his whole career with the Boston Bruins trying to win the Stanley Cup, but those dang Oilers would not let him win it. In 2000 Raymond Bourque wanted one last chance at winning the Stanley Cup, but his Bruins at the time did not look like they were going to be having any parades anytime soon. So, he requested a trade to a cup contender, and he got his wish. on March 6, 2000 Ray Bourque was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. He didn't win the cup in 2000, as the Avalanche would end up losing to the Dallas Stars in 7 games, but Ray Bourque said "F@#$ It" and signed for one last full season in the NHL with the Avalanche. This time however, it had a happy ending. Bourque's Avalanche defeated the New Jersey Devils in the Stanley Cup finals in 7 games, and at long last, Raymond Bourque finally lifted the cup.

3. 17 SECONDS

It's not over until the fat lady sings. Thanks to Gary Bateman's awesome work at handling player contracts, the 2012-2013 season was shortened to just the 2013 season. The Chicago Blackhawks took full advantage of the shortened season, as the would set a NHL record for the best start to a NHL season. The would go on to win the President's trophy, and go all the way in the playoffs to meet the Boston Bruins for the 2013 Stanley Cup Final. The Blackhawks had more skilled players on their team, but Boston had always used his physicality to go up against teams like the Blackhawks. The Hawks however, would get the best of Boston and would have a chance to win the Stanley Cup for game 6 in Boston. The Bruins would go up 2-1 late in the game. with about a minute to go, Chiacgo would pull goaltender Corey Crawford to get an extra attack on the ice. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews' used their magical puck handling powers to get the puck to Brian Bickell, who scored the game tying goal for the Hawks. Okay, game tied, we're going to overtime right? HAHAHA! NO! 17 seconds later the Hawks would get the puck in deep into the Bruins' defensive zone, and Dave Bolland would score a goal literally 17 seconds after Bickell's game tying goal. The Hawks held off the Bruins for the remaining minute, and the Blackhawks had won their second Stanley Cup in 4 years.

2. HULLKEY POKEY

Texas is an awful state. Every year they try to disband from the country so they can keep all of their stupid guns and racism. in 1990-whatever, the Minnesota North Stars moved from the Twin Cities to Hockey town Dallas, and in 1999, they went all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals and they went up against the Buffalo Sabres. The Stars held a 3-2 series lead and could win the cup in Buffalo. Game 6 was a crazy one, as it needed not one, not tow, but three overtimes to decide the winner. Brett Hull scored the game winning goal in the third overtime to win the Dallas Stars their first Stanley Cup... OR DID HE? After further examination, it was determined that Brett Hull had his left foot in Sabres goaltender Dominik Hasek's goal crease, which at the time, was a no-goal.

But the refs never waived it off. It was only after the Stars had skated around the rink a few 50 times with the cup that they realized that Hull was a dirty cheater. They felt that it would have been pretty stupid to continue the game, so they just went with it, so the Stars won the cup. Whatever, they probably would have still won a game 7 anyways.

1. WHERE'S THE PUCK?

Some people may not think this should be the first pick for the top moments in cup history, but I put it at number one so screw you pal. In 2010 The Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers faced each other for the Stanley Cup Finals. Chicago at the time held the longest cup drought in the NHL (they hadn't won since 1961) and they had a chance to finally bring the cup to Chicago in game 6. The whole game was a back and forth battle. The two teams gave it all they got to try and win that game. It would go to overtime. Patrick Kane would grab the puck and dance around with it at the left boards in the offensive zone. Kane than moved up the boards and shot the puck on an impossible angle, and than it, wait, hold on, where's the puck? Kane is flying down the ice with his gloves in the air? Did he score? After video review, it was determined that the puck went under The Flyers netminder's pads, and was stuck under the net. It was a good goal, and the Chicago Blackhawks lived the ultimate dream of hoisting the Stanley Cup proudly above their heads.

Spinorama

So here is my animation cycle for Commercial art. I didn't really pick a walk cycle for the project, instead I tried a rotoscope technique to trace a gif of Denis Savard. I think I did an ok job at this, it was hard to try and trace Denis because of the low quality of the original video, so that's why his feet look like a hot mess
